Haha, oh man. I meant to post this blog weeks ago but needed to muster up the energy to edit a little video together to really share as much of the hilarity as possible.
So *all* of the Sloanie crew headed down to St. George for the weekend of March 7-9, and as is almost a ritual, the boys hit up Fiesta Fun on Saturday. (Jesse opted out, but otherwise this is the first time all the Sloan brothers have been to Fiesta Fun together in years)….
We bought 2 tickets each for Go-Karts. Somehow it managed to be pretty
cold for what was supposed to be a nice weekend in the 60s (ended up
being overcast and low 50s with a bit of rain on Saturday).
Well, the lines were forever long for Go Karts, so we decided it wasn’t
worth a second run and went to use our tickets for the bumper boats.
Finally someone came over and let us on (there wasn’t anyone else
wanting to ride the bumper boats, hehehe…), and the guy says “You do
know it’s freezing, right?”
I don’t think I ever laugh as hard as when we ride the bumper boats. (I
can’t find that I ever posted pics of when me, Steve, and Jeff went…
we laughed just about as hard, there’s something hilarious about
soaking each other out in the cold).
In any case, I had to share, and post for the memories ๐
I mean look at us— we’re all over 6′ tall and playing in these boats…hahaha.
(If you want a little higher quality version of the video, right-click and save here.)
Late edit: OK someone tipped me off that the last Fiesta Fun bumper boat silliness was documented on the Crazy Pills blog. So I thought I’d link it here. What really cracks me up is that what Josh said was so strikingly similar to what the park attendant said to us this time around. “You guys do know it’s winter, right?” Bwahaha. Such good times.

Hahahaha. I have never tried the boats! I have to ride them next time I visit Fiesta Fun. I had to laugh seeing Shawn in that video with his long legs scrunched up to his ears. Awesome music. Was that imovie?
Yep, I used iMovie to piece that little video together quickly (“quickly” being a relative term ๐ ). I love how iMovie can upload right to youtube.
yeah… those bumper boats don’t look that fun at first, they move so slow… but throw in the squirt guns, and that’s what makes it hilarious– once you have someone within range of your gun, there’s really not much they can do to escape getting hosed at least for a number of seconds, hahaha. I still giggle watching that movie, hehehe.
ahhh, good times. Shawn and I pwned you and Dan, you guys are soaked!!!
That video was awesome. Now I feel like I didn’t miss anything at Fiesta Fun. ๐
Like the reader’s digest version where you don’t have to stand out in the chilly air to witness it, eh Mar?
