I’ve been spending some time in front of the computer tonight just mesmerized by what the camera can capture.
I’ve finally had some time to edit the photos I took of Janae and Jamison a month ago. This was the evening before their wedding– we (Kate and I) did a formals session with them so as to have better light and a bit more flexibility with taking photos. I’m so glad they were up for it, the shoot turned out wonderfully– it was a Monday so there was no other traffic at the Draper temple.
Of course it makes a *huge* difference how natural these two were in front of the camera… so comfortable with each other. Kate might have done a little bit of directing but for the most part I think they were just complete naturals. I can’t wait for them to see these photos– I’m so glad I had the opportunity to take them!
On the technical side, this is the first time I’ve done a shoot with a telephoto lens (135mm). I used to always tell myself that I just didn’t care for shooting with a telephoto, that it just wasn’t my style. (Usually I’d use a 35mm, 50mm or 85mm prime). Man was I wrong… I love how these images turned out.
