I didn’t even take any photos yesterday– talk about off my game. This was taken December 22, 2008, you can sorta see the wrapping paper in the background… but trust me. The apple pie Muti made yesterday was as good as it looks in this image, and as good as it’s ever been, absolutely scrumptious.

Yeah. I totally didn’t post yesterday. We’ll just say that it was a holiday in every sense of the word… I guess I was too busy spending time with family and forgot.

I woke up earlier than I’d have liked, probably around 8, and ended up reading for a few hours (no, nothing intelligent… I was on the web learning the ins and outs of getting Snow Leopard installed on ye ole hackintosh). I instead decided to install Windows 7, and I monkeyed around with that on and off all day (which meant that machine was out of commission… the one I usually blog from).

We had dinner at about 3, Uncle Art joined the Sloanies this year as his wife was off helping out Meghan with Thanksgiving and the new baby back east. Lots of good food and good company, really just a great day. (Isn’t it strange that we celebrate abundance and gratitude by consuming more than anyone should on a given day? haha.)

Perhaps the highlight of the day for me, however, was earlier in the afternoon, a bit before the feast, Kato stopped by my room with a little envelope. She had one for everyone, I think. It was a thank you card, and she had taken some time to thoughtfully write a personal note to tell me why she was thankful for me and to say that she loved me. It sorta caught me off guard how something seemingly so simple can make you feel inside. That meant a lot to me– thanks, Kato. I love you too ๐Ÿ™‚

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! And now… bring on my favorite time of year. CHRISTMAS ๐Ÿ˜€
