I need a mini side blog for posts like these.
So today I’m listening to my iPod Touch. (I accidently wiped my iPod Classic out at school today so most all that music is bye-bye until I get home to re-sync.) So anyways, I’ve got the touch just playing all the tracks from film scores that are on it, since there’s only a selection of tracks (and not my whole stinkin library like on the Classic). Suddenly I hear this “dun nun nun… dun nun nun dun nun nun … …. dun du da dahhh!!!” Hahaha. Whenever I hear the classic Superman movie theme, I just get this huge grin on my face and revert back to my childhood. It reminds me of when I saw the movie in the theater back in 2006– they did the opening credits just like the old movies, and I felt just like a little kid again there too.
I don’t own any of the Superman scores besides this one for Superman Returns… I remember on the mission, I saw the Superman movie soundtrack in Elder Prusse’s stack of CDs and I kinda laughed, thought it was a bit cheesy, and he just said “come on, you can’t NOT get pumped up listening to superman!” Several years later, I’m realizing how right he is. Even being a tad cheesy, it’s gotta be one of the best John Williams themes of all time, up there with Star Wars and Indiana Jones, and it DOES make you feel like you could fly =D
Oooh… looks like the movie is on the iPod Touch too. I know what I’m watching at the gym tonight, hehe…
