Landmark

Just thought I’d throw this out there–

I registered recently for something called the Landmark Forum, a course of sorts put on by an organization called Landmark Education. The course started last Friday, went through Sunday, and then the final portion is tomorrow night (Tuesday) at 7:30pm.

The experience is having a profound impact on my life and the lives of the others who went through at the same time, just as it’s had a huge impact on those who’ve done it in the past. My sister Melanie can vouch for this as she went through with me and has made some breakthroughs in her own life. It’s simply been an awesome experience and it’s hard to really describe or convey the impact that it’s had. Let’s just say that it can help you live a life you love and love the life you live. One of the biggest impacts I’m seeing is in how I view others, how I view myself, and the way that changes how I relate with people. Still sounds kinda vague, doesn’t it? Well I’ve already been through 3 days of 9am to 10pm learning and experiencing, so it’s kinda hard to convey what’s gained through that intense of an event in a short blurb.

I’d love for anyone who wants to learn more about what Landmark is about and what possibilities it can help you find to come to the last night of the course with me and Mel. Like I said, it’s on the 9th of January from 7:30pm to about 10:30pm, and it’s being held at the Marriott in Salt Lake City up by the University of Utah:

Feel free to come if you’d like to find out more about what Landmark has to offer (even if you don’t know me personally). I’m so glad I went and enjoy life now more than ever before– it’s empowering and liberating. If you’re not in Utah, they do have the forum all over the US and in some places internationally. If nothing else, check it out at: http://www.landmarkeducation.com.

About the forum from the web site:

Standard educational methods often leave you having to remember the concepts you were taught or trying to figure out how to apply them. Landmark’s method leaves you applying what you learned naturally and without effort.

Similar to riding a bicycle, in Landmark’s programs you learn by direct personal discovery – a moment occurs when a new ability is yours. You become confident in what you’ve learned, and the new ability is yours forever.

The Landmark method is more like coaching than teaching, more like conversation than lecture. While conventional education methods focus on content (adding facts, rules, or skills to our knowledge), the Landmark method deals with context – the framework(s) in which content can exist.

Whenever we’re limited in life, there is something – a context or framework – that we are blind to and that is holding that limitation in place. Landmark’s technology allows you to create breakthroughs in a two-step process in which you:

– Uncover and examine the blind spots or context holding you back in your life.
– Find out where your current context originated and address it for what it really is.

Having completed these two steps, a new realm of possibility is available to you. The constraints from the past disappear. Your view of life, your thoughts, your feelings, and your actions, change – and the change is immediate, dramatic, and without effort. It is a breakthrough.

I believe anyone can recieve a tremendous amount of value through participating in the forum, it’s not for any single type of person. I saw people from all walks of life there, some that you might expect to find there and others who you’d probably normally think have nothing that could be better in their lives, and they all had break-throughs (myself included). I do hope you’ll check it out!

  1. I concur!! I HIGHLY recommend the Landmark Forum. I didn’t have any MAJOR issues in my life like child abuse or a divorce or anything – just a desire to uncover who I really am and maybe get going with my life, socially and physically speaking, and learn how to reach my full potential. Landmark is helping me do just that! I loved it!

Just GO! You’ll never regret it!

  2. “Look everyone, it’s Tony Robbins!” Sorry…couldn’t resist the Tommy Boy quote. ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Hehe, the funny thing is that they commented on the “Tony Robbins” thing at the forum, hehe. It’s not really motivational speaking, you don’t really get inspired so much by the person leading the forum as much as by the people sharing their breakthroughs and through your own break throughs. Different ball game than Tony Robbins =D (Not that Tony doesn’t have some great things to say…. ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

  4. i have to say, man.. at first i thought your blog had been spammed. sounds great. too bad i just read your blog!

  5. does this mean you wont make fun of people with me anymore?

  6. comedy is still comedy… It just depends on who we’re making fun of ๐Ÿ˜‰
