Travis the other day shared a little work-rant about bathrooms. So on the note of the office-related, I thought I’d share this story.
In the copy room there’s a water tank. The stuff from the drinking fountain here tastes questionable in my opinion, and pretty much everyone here drinks the bottled Mt. Olympus water.
For centuries a clear mountain spring on Mount Olympus has flowed pure and sweet, low in dissolved solids and high in oxygen. Today it is honored as the paragon of Utah spring waters and is found in offices, homes and retail outlets throughout the Mountain West.
The Mount Olympus spring is located southeast of Salt Lake City at the 5,000 foot level of Neff’s Canyon, a protected source surrounded by a federally designated wilderness area. Its quality is very uniform, and there is no chlorine, harsh chemicals or impurities to alter the pristine taste of Mount Olympus Spring Water. In fact, more than fifty years of water analyses indicate no discernible change in the quality or mineral composition of the water.
Sounds tasty eh? So yeah, everyone drinks that, hehe. Now as you can see, there are always a couple extra tanks of water at the base of the dispenser so that if it runs out it can be refilled.
This week I have replaced the tank EVERY SINGLE DAY. How does that happen? I guess I’ve been unintentionally going to refill my water bottle at the same time every day this week. Monday and Tuesday it was amusing, because people came to get water while I was using the last of the tank, and since I couldn’t really drain the sucker and leave it empty– it became kind of a joke. But Wednesday I got there and the thing was BONE DRY. Jerks! Hehehe… I thought about complaining about inconsiderate people who use up all the water and don’t refill it, but then I remembered that I too have once or twice used up the rest of the water and then cackled to myself as I left it empty, mwahahaha. I really don’t mind refilling it at all– it takes a few seconds and it’s easier for me than it is for most of the women who are slurping down that water. I just find it funny that after joking about it for a couple days I’ve continually come upon an empty tank each day I visit the copy room.
I should try to refill it Friday just so I can be 5 for 5 this week…

That’s hilarious… the same kind of thing happened to me last week! At least three afternoons last week, I went to refill my water bottle, only to find the thing empty… so I had to go beg one of the guys in the mailroom to change bottles. (I tend to spill half the bottle on the floor, and the rest on myself – so I’ve learned not to even try anymore.) Turns out the poor guy changed it every day last week. Man, we consume a lot of water!!
I got it! I got it! I got it!!!! Dont got it. Hope it wasn’t a deposit bottle!
I just refilled it for the 5th time this week, hahaha… weird. Just like clockwork.
Weird thing is, this time I wasn’t even going to refill my bottle… I was headed to the bathroom across the hall from the copy room and decided to check… now I’m not even refilling it out of my own need!
HAHA!! Now it’s going to be a joke with you to look in on it and see if it needs to be changed! 🙂
