Kato, Dan and I went to Mo Bettah’s Steaks on Friday– not only for their awesome Hawaiian BBQ, but because they’re finally serving Hawaiian Shave Ice again (Kate was pretty sad last fall when she discovered it was seasonal, haha).
Amidst her giddiness, Kate referred to her shave ice as a sign of summer. Can’t wait for sunnier, warmer days 🙂
This is the last time I had legit Hawaiian shave ice– at Matsumoto Shave Ice on the north shore of Oahu (Haleiwa). It’s been 5 years… but as well as I can remember it, this stuff at Mo Bettah’s is authentic. Different flavor and texture compared to typical snow cones in Utah 🙂
