A Month Shy of Eight Years

I took a ton of photos in the last couple weeks. Kinda nice to get back into photography after feeling out of it for so long. Took so many in Carlsbad this last week… it’ll take some time to get them edited and posted. Marianne says she’s in dire need of a new FB profile pic, so one of her photos is the first of many I’ll be posting from the trip. This was taken on August 20, 2011– almost exactly a month prior to their 8th anniversary.

Marianne had me do a little mini photo shoot of her family with the idea of the family Christmas card coming up, so we wandered down to the beach Saturday morning and took some shots. (Unfortunately, Westen wasn’t jazzed about going down to the beach– he didn’t seem to have much interest in smiling while down there, haha. On the other hand, Marianne figured out how to get Addie to smile for the camera, so she was all kinds of cute.) The photos of all four of them will need some work, but this one of Marianne and Jesse turned out really well and didn’t need much work at all.

(It’s kinda fun to realize that Marianne has picked up a few ideas about photography from the last couple years of me taking photos for her– she knew the light would be nice and diffused in the morning when the fog was still around, and planned to do the shoot accordingly 🙂 )
