Sushi in Joy

Strange it was, I actually craved sushi tonight. (I’m not normally a huge fan.) I poked around Urban Spoon and found that this place that had a pretty cheesy name– Sushi in Joy– was supposedly decent for the price, and pretty close to home. So I figured I’d give it a shot.

As I sat at the bar to look at the menu, I quickly discovered that the place was run by Koreans. Kinda funny… Japanese-themed restaurant run by Koreans. Don’t know why that amuses me, they probably figure us whities can’t tell the difference. (Maybe most can’t).

Anyways… the Koreans made some pretty good sushi judging by my admittedly unschooled-in-the-ways-of-sushi palette. All I know is that it was tasty. So yeah. Sushi.

  1. That looks DELICIOUS. I really like sushi!! I pass by that place all the time, and wonder if it’s any good… what kind did you get?

Yeah, it’s pretty much just around the corner from you 🙂 I got the Philadelphia roll (the one above that’s not deep fried) and then the other one was called the “Funky J”. (Albacore Tuna, spicy crab, cream cheese, avacado and house sauce). Both were very tasty (and I’m usually kinda hit and miss with sushi). If sushi were more filling, I’d probably eat at this place regularly.

  3. I am normally frightened by sushi, but sometimes I can deal with it. Maybe I should try this place.

  4. OOOHHH, I love Philadelphia Rolls! My other favorite is Spicy Tuna – that Funky J sounds so tasty. Definitely going to have to hit this place up!

  5. I am dying to eat those off my screen right now. They look so so good.
