Since my cousin Cassi blogged her anniversary I wanted to play with her photo a little and while I’m at it congratulate she and Matt on 10 years together.
Cassi is one of the few people people that I heard from periodically on my mission. We’re close to the same age and, Cassi having moved to Utah when we were teenagers and having worked with her at my Aunt Heather’s (her mom’s) gourmet market, I got to be friends with Cass. I know she experienced more than her fair share of rough times growing up, especially in high school.
So through that correspondence during my mission, I caught a distant glimpse of a transformation in Cassi. I still remember reading the e-mail where she told me she’d met the man she was going to spend eternity with (Matt). I wasn’t able to be there for the wedding, but it honestly makes me so happy to see where that relationship went, to see them happy together now 10 years later. It makes me happy that Matt is that person for Cassi.
You guys are awesome 🙂 Love ya!

Awww Mike! You Rock! I love you tons Couz! Thanks for being so awesome!
Hey! What filter/treatment did you use to make it grungy? I want to be able to do that and haven’t learned how yet.
Hey Cass!
I actually used an image of a texture on a separate layer and then used a different layer style / opacity. I’ll have to check which layer style I used, but yeah… it’s a texture that I bought (you can probably find some textures for free here and there if you look, the trick is just finding high enough quality ones for high res images).
