I headed downtown today to revisit that vintage car collection in order to get some pictures for a project for school. I was thwarted– they were closed and no one answered the number they left. So, I headed over to part two of my plan, which was to grab lunch at Este Pizzeria. Oh man… this place ranks up there among my favorites. Something about it… every bite is worth savoring (except when you get just crust… it really is the marinara that makes all the difference on this pizza). It’s just one of those foods where you take a bite and then just stop for a moment to really enjoy the flavor of what’s in your mouth.
After that I tried the car museum in case the owners got my voicemail and returned, to no avail, so I decided to visit the Apple Store since I hadn’t been there in many months– you know, try to make use of my time downtown. It was fun– I got to see the new Nanos and play with their radio and video functions, plus they are all really great colors. The 27″ iMac is huge, but that’s about it. I guess I’m not drooling too much over it. But I AM drooling a bit over the Magic Mouse. I thought I’d care for it about as little as I did the mighty mouse, but I definitely feel like it’s a much more solid device. Has a sturdier click and right clicking seemed to work well, not to mention how cool gestures are.
Anyhow, that was my day. For some reason the cold air and some of the goings on at the Gateway mall reminded me of the downtown areas I’d go to in Korea… what a trip. Familiar smell or something.
I saw a couple sister missionaries come walking out of Urban Outfitters, obviously Temple Square missionaries. I was like, “Is this in their area?” If so, they probably love having a shopping mall like that so close, haha. Especially since otherwise their area is probably tiny…
Anyways, I’m rambling. The photos don’t do the pizza justice, but needless to say, the craving has been renewed.
