The people who designed the packaging for this cereal did well. I’ve begun to get into the habit of eating a more substantial breakfast and then eating a light lunch of cereal. So, getting tired of the puffed-wheat-smelling urine that I have to deal with a few different times a day as a result of my increased water intake and the eating of Super Golden Crisp at lunch (which is all I had at my desk until today), I decided to swing by the grocery store this morning and get a couple more boxes of cereal for variety’s sake.
I thought perhaps I’d get something healthy to eat for lunch, and this box of Mighty Bites jumped out at me. I’ve bought Kashi stuff before and it hasn’t been too bad. Heck, with this brightly colored box and the image of drizzling honey, I thought this might just be sweetened healthy cereal. It conjured up ideas of honey combs or something.
Not so. It tastes like cardboard. I only had one cup. (That’s right– we’re out of bowls and I’ve been eating out of 8oz cups, and one cup was all I could make myself eat. No flavor to entice me whatsoever.)

haha, you don’t like the golden crisp smelling urine? my mom bought this cereal all the time for us kids and i was always fascinated with that aspect of the cereal.
Hehe. Well it kinda makes me laugh if it’s just one time. But after 3-4 times at the urinal it gets kind of tiresome, heheh.
Oddly enough, it smelled like Mighty Bites today when I visited the urinal, hehe. I didn’t think it had enough flavor to do that!
Seriously. How is it that that smell gets into your urine within a few hours of eating it? Crazy!
haha. i’ve never noticed my urine smelling like anything in particular. i do like the neon yellow/green it gets about 90 minutes after a multivitamin. and there was the time i made grape juice in korea and my urine was blue a couple of times.. good times.
but kashi for kids? interesting concept. glad to know it’s nasty 😉
I got a coupon in teh mail to try Kashi Go Lean and I bought the Honey ALmond Flax granola, it is not bad, really crunchy so needs lots of milk, but atleast it tastes like honey. You should try that.
