It’s cold.

Can someone explain how it is that in this butt-cold weather I STILL see women wearing sandals and other open-toe shoes? Yeesh.

  1. yeah.. i didn’t want to say anything cause i’m not from around here.. but, it’s cold. my windshield cracked and there’s ice on the inside of all the windows in our apartment. i wore $100 gloves from the car to class this morning and my fingers were burning they were so cold.

  2. There are several words to describe girls that are still wearing sandles… but the one that sticks out the most is vanity. No, stupidity. No, vanity. Maybe stupidity
Bah. It’s a toss up. Stupid vanity.

  3. Yeah. Actually I dont’ recall when it was last this cold. On the news the other night they made them selves sound ridiculous and said “coldest temperatures we’ve had in TWO YEARS!” (like it was historic or something. They also couldn’t get their koolaid to freeze outside, i wonder where they were. It only took a few minutes for some water to freeze on my car last saturday).

But I honestly don’t remember it being this cold in 05. It’s a bit colder than usual this year, for sure… but hey, now my car doubles as a second fridge!

  4. So I will wear strappy sandals when it’s snowing, but NOT in weather this cold. Break out my cute pair of UGS that Matt gave me. This weather is INSANE. A toilet at my school froze it is so cold. Ugh!

  5. Maybe the people in sandals are from Idaho. It’s -15 right now and it’s the warmest it’s been all week. I just might have considered wearing sandals today if it wasn’t against the honor code! 😉

  6. i used to wear flip-flops when it was cold but they were tevas so it wasn’t to look cute. i would not wear them however in weather where my toes might get frostbite.

  7. i think uggs should be against the honor code
