There’ll be days when I listen to one song over and over the whole way to work– usually about a half hour drive. Always amuses me when I do.

sorry. i had just finished ranting in another comment about ipods and feeling full of comic rage. then i saw this post and was reminded of aaron copland’s book “what to listen for in music.” he talks about the monotony of modern music and how most of us just use it for background noise without really listening to it. thus, my comment: “i wouldn’t call it ‘listening.’”
