What can I say? I feel like a little kid on Christmas morning. I FINALLY have a (mostly) up to par computer at work. OS X Panther is lovely. The Apple Cinema Display is breath-taking. The G5 is… slow because it only has 256MB of RAM, but hey– it’s a start. At least I know it’ll get faster.
But I love it… job satisfaction just went up a few notches, and the designers still on OS 9 w/ G4s are quite envious of this sleek beast.
You know I’m mesmerized because it’s 7:20pm and I’m still at the office. Who does that?
iChat is a little funky compared to AIM but it does the job. Yay, I’m happy!
Fortunately Jerilyn is now on my AIM buddy list as of this week. Someone who understands the beauty that is the G5, hehehe… not to mention that she’s seen Napoleon Dynamite a few more times than me.
“It looks really sweet. It’s awesome! It’s…it’s incredible!”

Mmmmm…Cheetos…..
OSX is intoxicating. Congratulations, you have just entered into the Celestial Kingdom of desktop computing.

Oh heavens, I’m jealous. True, true jealousy.
I went from being on a G4 OS X Jaguar to being on an iMac OS 9.1.
You will soon learn, if you haven’t already, the complete supremacy iChat has over AIM.
so so jealous 🙁
The G5 looks nice, but that monitor looks better man.
Yeah the monitor truly is sweet. I must find a way to get one under the christmas tree this year, hehe.
Sus– well, I can sorta feel your pain. I used OS X jaguar on and off at school, but was using Win XP with a Pentium 4 until last fall when I changed jobs and was stuck with an old as crap G4 with OS 9.1. You can’t even install MSN messenger on 9.1, let alone anything else remotely current! Hence why I’m still using AIM, and now iChat, hehe.
I’ve liked what you’ve been doing with your pictures lately, but this one… it just makes me dizzy.
Rex I’ll have to get you a better picture next week– say, of the two gigantic heatsinks on the 2 g5 processors, hehe.
