Ok so I don’t know what that word is I used in the title. But what I want to ask is, what are your favorite phonetically spelled out sound effects or reaction words? They can often convey much more easily one’s feeling or intent. I was chatting with a friend the other day and they spelled out “blaarrghh!” Definitely a sound or expression of disgust… somewhere between blah and a barfing sound effect.
Another favorite was when Llew used “erlack!” in the retelling of an experience via her blog. Maybe I’m just easily amused but I got a kick out of that one.
Any other good ones?

I don’t talk in words – only in chirps. So other than “erlack” there’s:
Meh. (I use this when someone asks how I’m doing and it’s not so good)
eeep!
ack!
and there’s some others but I’m tire. Blah.
very bloom countyish…
My favorite is ‘ppffff’ – when someone says something ridiculous or sarcastic to you. 🙂
is that pianissimo-“quadruple forte”?
lo. guess what? I updated my blog — and changed the template a bit too. Woo hoo!
Oh, another one is “Erh” When someone says something inappropriate and I don’t know how to respond I always go, “Erhhhh”
how about MSG’D! or 404’D! or as you were most recently: SPAMM’D!
Tell me about it. It’s such great fun spending an hour going through and deleting each of those comments individually… over a hundred of them! “I’ll improve on YOUR methods!”
