Yeah, both today and Friday people have been brining around little goodies for Christmas that they’ve made for their co-workers. Happens every year but being in a new department and working with/around a lot more people, there is a lot more of it this year. And hence a lot more guilt that I didn’t do squat for anyone, not even a card, hehe. In my own defense I was pretty busy the last few days– but who am I kidding, I really didn’t have intentions of preparing a gift or goody for people at work. So maybe I’m a humbug, hehe. At least I have something to munch on today– I’m starving!
It is funny to work around all these women. I just overheard 2 that sit right by me talking about eating a lot of one thing at once. Something about eating an entire pizza. One said to the other
“There’s just something comforting about eating an entire pizza by yourself.”
Hehehe… I will remember that the next time I grab a $5 large pizza from Little Ceasar’s and consume it by myself.

I used to take comfort in eating a whole pizza by myself. That was until I realized it was stuff like that making me fat.
now that I think of it, I think we took comfort in eating that stuffed crust pizza from Heim… oh man that was good, haven’t had it’s equal since I came back to the states. At least we split it in half, but it was definitely comfort food for the sucky days when we’d get faked or whatever.
either of you ever in hong song? they had ‘west pizza.’ the legend had it that the owner used to work at pizza hut where he stole the recipe for their pizza and copied it in his own place. i think it was better than pizza hut.
when i was in high school, my family would go out to pizza hut and each family member would eat a medium (this is back when mediums were fairly huge) by his or herself. the waiter always thought we were nuts. but we were proud of our accomplishment. even mom!
I think Joel did do time in Hong Sung. Pizza hut tastes like crap here, IMO. In Korea it was ok, but Heim was so much better (and genereally cheaper– Pizza Hut was so expensive there).
Hehehe… Do you remember that pass-off party Josh in Cheong Ju where all the guys ordered their own large pizza or whatever it was, because they were 2 for 1 (and we weren’t paying for the party anyways? hehehe)– yeah that waitress DEFINITELY thought we were crazy. Good times, man…
just a comment on your pic from your ring bearer posting. That’s a good pc of you couz. Looking studly in the tux. Love you. Hey, I was a humbug this year too at work. Pretty sad. Oh well we can be scrooges together.
man. i totally forgot about that until just now. it was roman’s or romano’s or something right? in the shi-nae? i think i got pineapple, ham, and egg or something wierd like that… yeah, we were a bunch of silly americans.
Yeah, Roma Pizza, hehehe… That was the place for cheap pizza that didn’t taste like butt.
We got banned from this all you can eat pizza joint one time. I think it was sun-chun. We wouldn’t leave and we kept eating and eating. Hale downed 20+ pieces. it was crazy. Finally they came and said that we needed to go and we weren’t welcome back. LOL.
West Pizza… yeah we used to sucker everyone in the district into going there after District meeting… collect all the stickers on the pizza we bought and then order the free one we got from all the stickers to our house the next day! I miss that… I miss the cheese crust from heim more though… even if it did make me the poorest man in the world.
Everyone I worked with got me something and I got them nothing. I hadn’t even thought about that – I feel so bad.
Also, I’ve never eaten a pizza by myself. There’s no way! At least not a large – if it was a personal pan maybe. Also, I always thought those New Yorkers were being snobs but, man, there is no pizza like it. There’s something about the dough. Mmmm St Mark’s Pizza mmmmmmm.
st. mark made pizza? who knew…
It was one of his three miracles
Anything that makes NYU students happy that doesn’t involve bad fashion is a miracle.
