Look we’ve got power, they’ve got this whole place wired with batteries!

I was just mid-conversation with my friend Ty on messenger when the power went out. I’m sure the football junkies upstairs aren’t too happy about this, hahaha… but I logged back on with my laptop and cell phone just because I could– yes, I’m so proud of my geekiness.

I do wonder what the deal is and how long the power will be out…s for now, I will simply enjoy the silence resulting from this power outage, ahh….

  1. Ya know, I’m a fan of power outages. At work they suck because you think, “Woohoo! Time to go home.” Then the generators kick in and smash your joy. But at home it is really peaceful. And there’s normally a good thunderstorm that accompanies it. Nothing to do but go outside and watch the lightning. Sweet.

  2. True, there is nothing more conducive to napping when there is dead silence, except when it knocks out the air conditioner and I’m roasting. Nevertheless, it was peaceful.

  3. ah, yes– in the summer it would suck to have the house heat up (so spoiled we are). But hey, down in the basement it was nice and cool– perfectly relaxing 🙂 It was only out for an hour or so, tho.

  4. You have are conditioning?? Wow, that would’ve been awesome this past summer. Just imagine coming in from working hard on the farm and being able to stand in front of the air conditioner and just cool off. Yeah that would’ve been the life.

  5. Maybe I would also be able to spell “air” before my brain was boiled, hahah!

  6. hahaha… Yeah, it’s not like the A/C (aircon) in Korea where you can just stand in front of it, that WAS nice for cooling down.
