Why I will be sad…

…if the record industry kills file sharing.

I finally found a song I’ve been looking and hoping for. It’s a song that I heard on a CD at Circuit City– but every other song on the disc was crap, and though I tried to talk myself into it, I couldn’t justify paying $13+ for one freakin song (it was a compilation disc). The song is supposedly “exclusive”, which means it’s not available on any other CD or even on a single. Bah.

Not sure what prompted me to look again yesterday but I did and somehow someone had it. Sweet! What song you ask? Oh, you don’t care. That’s what I thought, hehe. There may be a couple of you I know who would like it, though.

In any case, I don’t really support mass music piracy, but there are times when I’m grateful that someone has made it possible for me to get a song without having to bend over for the RIAA. I’m all about buying good CDs and stuff, but I refuse to buy a disc full of shite just for one good song. I suppose I could buy it and turn around and sell it on ebay, but I’m too lazy, heh…
