Some people hold hands, others...

...hold cheeks.

So around 2:30 today my head just feels like it's going to explode from a few things, like dealing with the earlier-described annoyances and perhaps the fact that Mtn. Dew drops me like a rock. It's one of those times when I have to bail and get out of the office for a few minutes, so I take a 10-minute break and head down to the commons area outside the office, and take a seat on the bench in front of China Lily.

I'm enjoying some fresh air and clearing out my head when a couple walks by. The lady is blond and looks to be maybe early 30s, late 20s... the guy she's with though, though in good shape, has to be mid 40s or something, so I just scratch my head about the odd couple (why would a chick go for a guy that's 15 years or more older than her? I mean this couple didn't look married, they looked more like they were dating). Alright whatever. Just another couple walking by.

I may have made contact with the blond while they were walking by, after which I resumed the "hand on the forehead because my head hurts" position. I hear them stop nearby (by the garbage receptacle, actually-- like they had stopped to throw something away) and I glance up to see they're really close so they can kiss or whatever-- being all touchy-feely, almost like they were doing it just for the sake of PDA. Just slightly bugged, I turn my head away again to ignore this display, and they begin walking again towards the parking lot after a brief moment.

I look again when they're halfway between me and the parking lot, and I see them walking side by side... arms not holding hands, arms not interlocked, arms not even around each other's waist. No-- her hand feeling up his cheek. He likewise moves his hand down to the same area on her (they were roughly the same height) and starts to feel her cheek. They continue walking this way, pretty much just holding each other's cheek. How romantic.

Maybe this isn't that uncommon, but it is the first time I have noted such behavior. Ah, if I only had my camera on me at that time, heh...

Okay, I've recently become more sympathetic to the PDA issue. And sometimes I stop and think that not only am I making others sick, but I'm starting to sicken myself. (Jesse's in the same boat. "We make me sick" is a common comment.) But THAT - to be quite honest - is out of the ballfield!

Oh, but very funny. Very, very funny!

Yeah sure it bugs when other people do it but see I just don't even have the hope of dating or marrying someone my height that I could hold cheeks with as ideally these two did, heh.

we ask why too often. why would a woman date a much older man? who cares?!! she would. and she is. from the older man's perspective, this is a no brainer. he's with a chick 15 yrs his junior. look, i don't understand the woman's point of view, but i don't question. women don't understand why men like boobs, for example. who cares?!! they do. deal with it. yeah, but those two were kind of gross, sounds like...

Yeah. I suppose it could be worse. He could be like 90 and she could be like a mid-20s supermodel marrying him for his money. Wait... yeah she probably was with the older man for money-- that's it. Heh.
